¿Qué
pasa cuando una mujer tiene displasia cervical?
Cuando se encuentra displasia en el cuello del útero, una de estas tres cosas puede ocurrir:
- La repuesta inmunológica de la mujer puede curar el área afectada y la displasia de grado-bajo puede desaparecer.
- La displasia puede permanecer en el cuello del útero, sin cambios por muchos años.
- El área con displasia puede cambiar y convertirse en cáncer cervical. Este cambio es llamado progresión y por lo general toma varios años.
